Beginner/ Intermediate 5 weeks starting Thursday September 11 10 am to 12 pm

This is a step by step approach where you will learn about supplies, techniques, colour mixing, design elements and the right materials let to get you started on your journey to success. At the end of the course you will have a completed painting and gained knowledge of the basics of watercolour to set you on a further journey to mastering your talent.
We will paint something like this in watercolour.

This course is a second level where you provide your own reference photo materials and I will talk about the design elements to create your own painting and I will coach you along the way so you can create your masterpiece.

Let’s get loose! In just a mere 37 minutes you can create a vibrant expressive painting that is fresh and charming. Learn how painting quickly frees you from past tendencies to overwork your paintings, resulting in muddy colours. Painting quickly is fun and a great way to build your inventory in preparation for a showing of your art. Step out of your comfort zone and let’s paint up a storm!
Sept. 5, 6, 7 Turn POW to WOW! Strong Colour Painting with Lee Munn
Learn the art of painting powerful landscapes with the strong colours and shadows. Working from either your choice of photo reference or paint with Lee on his photo. We’ll use strong exaggeration of highlights, shadows & colours on larger canvasses (ie. 36×36, 30×40..) to create a dynamic landscape painting. Working towards your own style while gaining a better understanding of the foundations of strong landscape painting. We’ll also look at using large brush strokes, and base tones. Acrylic or oils focused, but all levels and media welcome.
