Registration is now open for the Young Sudbury Singers’ 2019-20 season, including our new VALLEY CHOIR serving Valley East, Hanmer, and Capreol.
All young musicians from SK to high school are invited to join – an audition is not required. Participants can expect to sing, laugh, and learn a wide variety of music in a safe and supportive environment that will foster a lifelong love of singing.
Young Sudbury Singers offer four choirs that families can choose from:
The SENIOR CHOIR (Grade 5+) and JUNIOR CHOIR (Grade 2 to 4) will rehearse on Wednesday evenings at Sudbury Secondary School, 154 College St., starting at 6 p.m. Registration Night is on Wednesday September 11th.
The BEGINNER CHOIR (SK to Grade 2) will meet on Saturdays at R. L. Beattie Public School, 102 Loach’s Road, starting at 10:30 a.m. Registration Day is on Saturday September 14th.
The new VALLEY CHOIR (Grade 3 to 7) will rehearse on Tuesday evenings at Valley View Public School, 1840 Valleyview Road, starting at 6 p.m. Registration Night will be on Tuesday October 15th.
All four choirs will rehearse weekly at these locations until early May (excluding school holidays). All participants will participate in a full-day Choir Retreat at Sudbury Secondary School on Saturday September 28th, as well as several performances throughout the school year.
Young Sudbury Singers’ modest registration fees help ensure that the choir remains accessible to all interested youth. Discounts are available for families with two or more singers.
