LUMAC Collection Response Project – Call to Artists
Laurentian University is excited to announce the first “Call to Artists” that is directly linked to our esteemed LUMAC Collection. The Laurentian University Museum and Arts Centre (LUMAC) was developed as a Centennial project of the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce in 1968. From 1968 to 1997, the Centre was operated by Laurentian University, and directed by the late Pamela Krueger for almost 20 years, from 1977 to 1995. On July 1, 1997, LUMAC was incorporated as the Art Gallery of Sudbury | Galerie d’art de Sudbury. The Permanent Collection of the Laurentian University Museum and Arts Centre comprises more than 1,400 works by notable artists.
