Gallery III: Creative Kids Exhibition and Reception Exhibited until December 24 Sudbury, Ontario
December 7 - December 24
SUDBURY— The Art Gallery of Sudbury is holding the annual Creative Kids Exhibition & Reception on Thursday, December 7, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. The gallery would like to invite the community to come celebrate and appreciate the creativity of young artists.
This exhibition shows off the talent and creativity from the youth living in the community. Whether intuitive, expressive or conceptual, these works speak of the process of growth and artistic exploration.
Each work was created by youth participating in the Art Gallery of Sudbury’s weekend art classes and art classes for homeschooled kids.
“It’s always a treat for the kids to see their work displayed on the walls at the Art Gallery,” said Laure Mitchell, Education Coordinator for the Art Gallery of Sudbury, “In just eight short weeks the young artists create exceptional work while exploring new mediums and learning new techniques.”
The Creative Kids exhibition will be displayed in the gallery’s library until December 24, 2017.
Last year’s Creative Kids reception was a huge success with over 120 guests in attendance, and the gallery hopes to continue with another successful year with this anticipated exhibition.
The Art Gallery of Sudbury is a registered charitable organization and receives public funding from the City of Greater Sudbury, the Government of Canada, Ontario Arts Council, and Canada Council for the Arts.
