Visual Arts, Crafts – Talks and Discussion

 

Five local artists presenting their original art in a park-like setting. A collection of original art in various genres and medias, from watercolour to pencil to oil; this is the fourth year we have been together in a very successful exhibit for our community.

Visual Arts – Collective Creation

 

Eight artists featuring their original works of art. Vibrant works of art and demonstrations to engage you. If you wish to purchase art, you may use cash or visa. Parking is available adjacent to the building. Refreshments will be available.

 

Finlandia Village presents The Eternal Road (Ikitie)

Finlandia Village, Lepokoti Building, Voima Hall – 233 Fourth Avenue

Film  – Heritage

 

Based on true events, an epic story of one man’s struggle for survival is told. Jussi Ketola returns to Finland from America after the great depression struck, only to face growing political unrest. One summer night in 1930, nationalist thugs violently abduct Ketola from his home. Beaten and forced to walk the Eternal Road towards a foreign Soviet Russia, where cruelty seems to know no end, his only dream is to return to his family, cost what it may. Movie is in Finnish with English subtitles. Refreshments will be served.

Visual Arts – Collective Creation

 

This art exhibit is a collective gathering of local artists in the Greater Sudbury area in the Greater city of Sudbury. There will be a diverse talent of pastels watercolour, acrylic, and oil paintings. The exhibit will be indoors. The art will be featured and for sale. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
